Biography
“I work closely with families to assist them in advocating for best practices and interventions in school, and effective transition planning upon high school graduation. I also assess college students who may be having difficulty adjusting to the demands of higher education given pre-existing or new medical or neurological concerns.”
John Beetar is a board-certified clinical and pediatric neuropsychologist who holds a doctoral degree. He focuses the study of the relationship between brain function and behavior, emotion and cognition.
Beetar conducts comprehensive outpatient neuropsychological evaluations with children, adolescents and young adults. He has clinical interests in a wide variety of medical and neurological conditions, such as childhood strokes, epilepsy, sickle cell disease, traumatic brain injuries and leukemia, which can impact development and learning. He is a member of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP).
He received his doctorate at Drexel University and completed a fellowship at Brown University.
