“I believe I’m called to do my job, and I’m in exactly the right place every day when I come to work.”
Weaver is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She has clinical interests in leukemia, acute and chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms (when bone marrow makes too many red blood cells, white blood cells or platelets) and myelodysplastic syndrome (a group of disorders caused by blood cells that don’t work properly).
Weaver was drawn to oncology after experiencing the grit, incredible grace and eternal kindness of her patients. Additionally, the practice and landscape of oncology are constantly changing, and outcomes are always improving, which is her ongoing source of hope in this field.
Weaver was a recipient of a Delaware Nursing Practice Award.
She received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of Delaware and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Frontier Nursing University.
She and her husband have a teenage daughter who is a musician and lacrosse player. Weaver is originally from Baltimore and is a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. When she’s not on a lacrosse field, walking her 2 dogs or gardening, she loves to hike. She has hiked over 50 miles in Mount Rainier National Park.
