To care for a child and their family as they grow is a treasured gift. There’s nothing better than seeing a child smile or hearing their laugh.
I decided to become a pediatrician at age 6, when I admired my childhood doctor so much that it revealed my life’s calling. Some of my strongest childhood memories are of my pediatrician. He always made me laugh and treated me as my own little person. Although I know there were painful things, like shots, I don’t remember those moments. I just remember feeling special and taken care of. Those experiences continue to inspire the care I provide today.
I specialize in providing care for children, from newborns to adolescents. I want children and their families to feel cared for, supported and valued. Patients can expect a welcoming environment where they are treated as individuals and where their needs and concerns are heard.
I’m board certified in pediatrics. I serve as the specialty medical director of general pediatrics for Atrium Health Levine Children’s. I earned my medical degree and completed my residency at West Virginia University.
One of the highlights of my career is serving in a leadership role as specialty medical director of general pediatrics for Atrium Health Levine Children’s, while continuing to provide care for children from newborns through adolescence.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the beach with my dog, traveling, reading, watching movies, cheering on my alma mater’s sports teams and hanging out with my cousins.
