Dr. Boardman is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN).
She specializes in vulvovaginal disorders, colposcopy, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, complex contraception methods and resident surgical education.
She is the program director for the Atrium Health Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency Program.
She is a graduate of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) Scholars Program in Electrosurgery and Hysteroscopy as well as the APGO/Solvay Pharmaceuticals Educational Scholars Development Program. She has been a part of the teaching faculty for the APGO Surgical Education Scholars Program for several years.
She has received the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award for Medical Student Education, the National Faculty Teaching Award from the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) twice, and a Faculty Development Award from the Berlex Foundation.
Her current research interest includes a randomized controlled trial studying the use of liposomal bupivacaine at cesarean section for postoperative pain control.
She received her medical degree from the University of Alabama and completed a residency at the University of Florida. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and a fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
