Megan Rivera is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP). She focuses on cardiology.
When she was working as a registered nurse, an excellent mentor inspired Rivera to get additional training so she could provide a higher level of care as a nurse practitioner.
In her prior role, she worked to maintain her facility’s chest pain center accreditation program. Her program improved fall-outs (undesired outcomes) for required medications on discharge from 60 percent to 100 percent consistently.
Rivera received her master’s degree in nursing at Nova Southeastern University.
She has 2 adult children who are both paramedics and fire fighters. They love spending time at the beach, boating, paddleboarding, going to the shooting range and having family dinners.
