Biography

Dr. Yanik is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric nephrology, the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the kidney. She is skilled in the medical evaluation of kidney transplant candidates and the management of kidney transplant recipients.
She is the medical director of Atrium Health Levine Children’s Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program.
Dr. Yanik enjoys the wide variety of conditions treated in pediatric nephrology, from mild to severe, both acute and chronic. She also enjoys the team-based approach to care, working with other healthcare professionals such as nurses, dietitians, social workers and psychologists.
Dr. Yanik received her medical degree at The Ohio State University and completed residency and a fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons. She likes being outdoors, camping, hiking, biking and going to the beach.
