Biography

I’ve always been drawn to the resilience and honesty of children, and it’s a privilege to care for them and support their families through both routine and complex health challenges.

I’m board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.

Advocating for the health and well-being of children is at the heart of what I do. Whether it’s guiding parents through a new diagnosis or helping a child thrive after surgery, I believe in a collaborative, compassionate approach to care.

I have a strong interest in congenital heart disease and have published research on the relationship between congenital heart conditions and kidney injury during pediatric cardiothoracic surgery.

My medical degree was earned at the University of Virginia, followed by residency in pediatrics at the University of North Carolina and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

I’m a husband and proud father of 3 children. I enjoy being outdoors, especially hiking and biking. I’m also a lifelong basketball fan and love both playing and watching the game whenever I get the chance.
