Dr. Elias Ruiz is a board-certified pediatrician who specializes in neonatology (critical care for newborn infants). She focuses on prematurity, chronic lung disease, congenital heart disease, neuro-critical care and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). She is fluent in Spanish.
She was inspired by a mentor who taught her the value of dedication, passion and building bonds with parents. She values each opportunity to work as part of a team providing critical care to babies.
Dr. Elias Ruiz received her medical degree at Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo. She completed residency at the Cleveland Clinic and fellowships at MetroHealth Medical Center and Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
