Ruhland is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She specializes in adult cardiac and vascular care. She has assisted in treating patients with severe and life-threatening vascular disease, requiring open and endovascular repair procedures.
She feels she has one of the best jobs in the world. No two days are ever the same, and each patient requires critical thinking and problem solving when it comes to coordinating care and ensuring good outcomes. She enjoys the fast-paced environment and the interaction with patients, their family members and her colleagues.
Ruhland received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her registered nurse first assistant (RNFA) at the National Institute of First Assisting.
She loves spending time outside of work with her husband, Zach, and their daughter, Sadie Mae. They are a very active family and enjoy recreational league sports, mountain biking, camping, paddleboarding and visiting their families. Their dog, Kona the Pomsky, who is half Pomeranian and half husky, joins them on most of their adventures.
