Biography
“I love children, and they are my passion. Children are our most vulnerable and precious human resource. As a pediatric intensivist, I get to care for patients and advocate for them when they are at their sickest.”
Dr. Benjamin-Bryant is board certified in pediatric critical care medicine and is a pediatric cardiac critical care doctor. She treats critically ill pediatric patients and has a special interest in patients with congenital and acquired heart disease.
She is the medical director of the Atrium Health Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Levine Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Benjamin-Bryant has always loved pediatrics and had a wonderful female pediatrician growing up in the Caribbean. During medical school, she was drawn to the complexities and quick pace of critical care and especially loved managing cardiac critical care patients.
She received her medical degree at the University of the West Indies. She completed a residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center and a fellowship at Cohen Children's Medical Center.
Dr. Benjamin-Bryant and her husband have 6 children and 3 dogs, as a blended family. She enjoys all activities related to water and is a certified scuba diver. She also enjoys hiking and working out.
