“I believe everyone should have access to a midwife, regardless of where they choose to give birth. I am a strong advocate for providing evidence-based, individualized midwifery care to all.”
Swiyyah Muhammad is a certified nurse midwife. She focuses on low- to moderate-risk obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) for people who are hospitalized.
As a high school senior, she took part in an internship at an OB/GYN practice. The experience sparked her appreciation of the birth process and led to her career choice.
Muhammad received her master’s degree in nurse midwifery at Frontier Nursing University.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters. She especially likes traveling and cooking new recipes.
