Biography
“Children are innocent and vulnerable. I believe it is everyone's moral obligation to protect, love and value them, thus providing an environment where they can thrive and grow without harm.”
Napier is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She specializes in child maltreatment and is a pediatric sexual assault nurse examiner and forensic nurse examiner.
Her inspiration comes from Herbert Ward who said, "Child abuse casts a shadow the length of a lifetime,” and Nelson Mandela who said, "The true character of a society is revealed in how it treats its children.”
Napier received her doctorate degree in forensic nursing and master’s degree in nursing at the University of South Alabama.
She is currently completing a research project regarding adverse childhood experiences to promote screenings and appropriate referrals to services in primary care settings.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, especially to the beach, and doing anything outdoors, such as hiking, rafting and skiing.
