I love what I do. My goal is to take care of my patients to help them feel better and live a healthy life. It gives me a sense of fulfillment when I see them transitioned in the best health to an adult care provider.

I am board certified in general pediatrics, pediatric gastroenterology and transplant hepatology. I specialize in:

• Liver transplantation and post-transplant care
• Biliary atresia
• Fontan associated liver disease (FALD)
• Cystic fibrosis
• Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH)
• Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC)
• Wilson's disease
• Alagille syndrome
• Hepatitis C and B
• Fatty liver disease
• Neonatal, metabolic and cholestatic liver disorders

I serve as associate professor of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital and medical director of the Pediatric Hepatology and Liver Transplant Program. I also serve on various committees, including the Pediatric Solid Organ Transplant Quality, Pediatric Liver Transplant Selection and Transplant Steering, Pediatric Joint Practice and EPIC EMR Committees.

I’ve been recognized as a Top Doctor by Charlotte magazine and Castle Connolly. I’m one of only a handful of pediatric transplant hepatology board-certified doctors in North Carolina.

My current research is titled Studies in Pediatric Liver Transplantation (SPLIT) Registry HBV Drug Trials.

I received my medical degree at Bangalore University and completed residencies at Morristown Memorial Hospital and Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Medical College. I completed a fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and two sons. I enjoy traveling, gardening, walking and enjoying nature. I do yoga and meditation to de-stress, and I enjoy cooking Indian food.
