Zack Held is a licensed clinical psychologist who holds a doctoral degree. He specializes in pediatric psychology, nephrology and pulmonology. His clinical interests include anxiety, depression, medical trauma, chronic illness and treatment adherence.
He is the director of psychology training in the Pediatric Psychology Department of Atrium Health Levine Children’s Specialty Center.
Held works with a chronically ill population in nephrology and pulmonology, which allows him to work with families throughout both medical and personal challenges and growth. He feels it’s a privilege to be part of their journeys, learn from them and help them work through all the changes in their lives.
He completed his internship at the University of Utah and received his doctorate from Suffolk University. He completed a fellowship at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital.
Outside of work, he enjoys watching sports, spending time outdoors, exploring new restaurants and taking road trips to new places.
