Simulation Operations Specialist

Prior to joining Carolinas Simulation Center in 2020, Britt McDonald was a laboratory animal technician at Atrium Health. She also worked as a veterinary technician in general practice and surgery. In 2014, she became a certified Laboratory Animal Technician by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science. Her background in laboratory animal science provided her experience with the use of animals and cadaveric specimens to simulate human patients. She also utilizes her surgical clinical background and knowledge of medical terminology, instrumentation, and equipment to ensure educational cadaveric and bioskills training courses held at Carolinas Surgical Skills Center simulate a safe medical environment for participants to gain valuable hands-on training.
