Atrium Health ranks first among North Carolina companies

CHARLOTTE, N.C., August 16, 2018 – Atrium Health was ranked by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers for Women 2018. At No. 55 overall, Atrium Health ranks as the top organization in North Carolina and is the only North Carolina company in the top 100. In addition, Atrium Health comes in at No.16 in healthcare.

The Forbes award list was compiled based on surveys of companies with more than 1000 employees. 40,000 employees across the country, including 25,000 women provided answers regarding working conditions, diversity, and likelihood to recommend their employer to others -- as well as parental leave, discrimination and pay equity.

Each year, Atrium Health hosts a Diversity Symposium that brings together staff and regional community members to discuss trends, research, workplace inclusion and other topics. Teammates can also participate in a Diversity Certificate program that helps them become more culturally competent in the workplace.

Additionally, Atrium Health was an honoree for the 2018 American Hospital Association Equity of Care award.
