Physician Certifications

At Atrium Health, we are committed to ensuring that the care you receive from our hospitals, practices and people meet the highest standards. But you don't have to take our word for it. More of our physicians are certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare quality, than any other healthcare organization in North Carolina. And even more of our physicians are seeking this credential.

NCQA certifies physicians in two key areas: Heart/Stroke and Diabetes. By pursuing and maintaining these credentials, physicians show their commitment to using evidence-based measures to provide excellent care for their patients who suffer from these conditions.
