Dr. Stepp is currently one of only a few gynecologists in the world performing Single Incision Laparoscopy/Single Port Access with the goal being faster recovery with less pain. The Single Incision Laparoscopic Hysterectomy is performed through a tiny single incision in the belly button and has the cosmetic advantage of essentially no visible scar. As a board certified urogynecologist, he has additional training and expertise in conditions that affect the female pelvic organs and the muscles and connective tissue that support those organs. He is an active reviewer for multiple medical journals and has mentored obstetrics and gynecology residents during their training.
