Biography
Rohit Mehta, MD, FACC, FHRS is a cardiac electrophysiologist at Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, with clinical expertise in laser lead extraction (removal), complex cardiac device implantation, complex cardiac ablation, and large-scale data management. His clinical and community passion centers around sudden cardiac arrest, with a focus on innovative care delivery, risk prediction and CPR awareness.
He serves as a reviewer for various clinical journals, and is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society’s Health Policy Committee. Regionally, he sits on the board of directors for the Omar Carter Foundation, acting as co-chairman since its inception in 2014. He has also served on the board of the American Heart Association in Charlotte since 2015, recently completing his term as board president in 2019.
