Biography
As the interim chair of cardiovascular & cardiothoracic surgery at Atrium Health's Levine Children's and Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. Thomas Maxey's primary focus is heart surgery in children and adults with congenital heart disease. His clinical interests include congenital heart disease, ventricular reconstruction and heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical support. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Maxey also serves as Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery.
