Our Commitment to Mental Health

At Atrium Health, we’re dedicated to addressing the community’s mental and behavioral health needs both inside and outside our walls. We’re committed to the effort in many ways, from building a dedicated behavioral health hospital to embedding virtual mental health services into primary care.

Mental Health First Aid Course Offered at Atrium Health

To raise awareness and combat the stigma around mental health, we teach Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), a national program designed to empower everyday people to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness.

MHFA training is available to individuals and groups across the community, including:

• Employers
• Faith communities
• Public health and safety officials
• Veterans’ organizations
• Advocacy groups
• Youth/adolescent groups and agencies
• Latino organizations (the program is available in Spanish, as well as English)
