Stacy Capel is a registered nurse with a medical surgical background. Stacy has been a healthcare simulation educator since 2007 and has experience working with all learner levels, from pre-licensure students to expert teams training in acute care environments. She has been a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) since 2015 and is familiar with creating complex care events to test new spaces, sustain facility accreditation, evaluate team response, support patient care initiatives, and strengthen curriculum objectives. Stacy is a certified basic life support instructor, member of the CHSE Advisory Team, CHSE Blueprint Review Course Educator, and Co-Chair of the Interactive Experiential Sub- Committee. Her primary interest is the creation and implementation of simulation opportunities for interprofessional teams in the in-situ setting.
