Medical Director, Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery
At Levine Children’s Hospital, Dr. Scannell helps lead the Department of Orthopedics, named a “Best Children’s Hospital” by U.S. News & World Report for 2016-2017. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Scannell serves as the principal investigator (or co-principal investigator) for multiple clinical research grants investigating innovative orthopedic techniques as wel as trauma. Helping to train the next generation of pediatric orthopedic surgeons, Dr. Scannell is the associate program director for the Orthopedic Surgery Residency and the medical student director for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
