David Jacobs, MD, is the medical director of trauma services for Atrium Health. He held a trauma and surgical critical care fellowship and a pediatric surgery research fellowship at Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems. He also held a pediatric surgery research fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children-Toronto.
Graduating from Weill Medical College of Cornell University, he held residencies at University Hospitals of Cleveland and Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His accolades include the Charlotte-Area FBI Community Service Award, the Pride Community Service Award, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Medallion Award and the Carlton G.
