David Jacobs, MD, is the medical director of trauma services for Atrium Health. He held a trauma and surgical critical care fellowship and a pediatric surgery research fellowship at Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems. He also held a pediatric surgery research fellowship at The Hospital for Sick Children-Toronto.
Graduating from Weill Medical College of Cornell University, he held residencies at University Hospitals of Cleveland and Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His accolades include the Charlotte-Area FBI Community Service Award, the Pride Community Service Award, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Medallion Award and the Carlton G. Watkins Award for his commitment to Charlotte’s youth community.
