Our providers offer two options for care – a memory clinic, located on the campus of Atrium Health University, and primary care services to residents of long-term care facilities.
Atrium Health Senior Care uses a team approach, which includes a geriatric physician, nurse and social worker, to provide compassionate care to those dealing with memory loss.

The first visit to the memory clinic will take two to three hours, as we walk through a complete history and interview both the patient and the caregiver. At this first visit, patients should be accompanied by someone who knows them well.

Atrium Health Senior Care provides primary care services for patients or residents in long-term care facilities in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus counties. Many of our clinicians are certified medical directors or are fellowship trained in geriatric medicine. We provide continuity of care – from the hospital to the facilities in which we practice.
Our physicians and nurse practitioners visit our partner long-term care facilities several days each week and provide on-call services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
