Mental Health First Aid training (MHFA) is a course designed for individuals interested in learning how to properly support those showing early or worsening signs of a mental health challenge. Offered at minimal cost with on-site and virtual options, this program can make all the difference in the mental health of your workforce.

Our world-class MHFA training covers anxiety disorders, depression, panic attacks, psychotic disorders and substance use disorders. During the course, your team will learn:

  • How to identify, understand and respond to an employee experiencing a mental health challenge
  • Facts about mental illness and substance use disorders
  • How to talk with an employee in crisis
  • Information on community resources available for employees experiencing mental health challenges

At Atrium Health employer services, we offer a range of course delivery options to support your business needs.

  • Virtual: A 2-hour self-paced virtual course and 5.5-hour live virtual course for 10 to 20 participants
  • In-person: An 8-hour, on-site course for 15 to 30 participants
  • Blended: A 2-hour self-paced virtual course and 5.5-hour in-person course for 15 to 30 participants
