A not-so-little-known-secret of the military is that it’s really one big family. And nothing says family more than being there for one another. That’s why Atrium Health Hospice and Palliative Care offers the We Honor Veterans program. This pioneer program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization is run in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Through our Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer program, recruited veteran volunteers partner with hospice patients who have been identified as veterans to spend quality time together, share stories, bond with one another, and share the family spirit.
