Sometimes referred to as a nursing home, skilled nursing at Atrium Health is a comprehensive approach to 24/7 care. Our skilled nursing facilities are licensed, inspected and regulated by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

Services Provided in Skilled Nursing Facilities
Services and amenities may vary slightly according to location, but generally include the following:
- Medical services provided by a team of physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists and other specialists
- Social and cultural activities
- Short-term rehabilitation for recovery from surgeries, falls, stroke, heart disease, pneumonia, and other illnesses
