Carolinas Rehabilitation, a part of Atrium Health, has grown into one of the largest rehabilitation providers in the Southeast. In partnership with Levine Children’s Hospital, it’s also the sole provider of inpatient rehabilitative services for children in the Charlotte area.

Since 2003, satisfaction scores from patients and families have consistently rated their quality of care at 95 percent or higher. With four inpatient hospitals, and 20-plus outpatient locations, our network of rehabilitative care is never far away.

Accredited Leaders

• We maintain accreditation from the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
• Our cancer rehabilitation program was the first in the world to earn CARF accreditation.
• Carolinas Rehabilitation, Carolinas Rehabilitation-Mount Holly, Carolinas Rehabilitation-NorthEast, Carolinas HealthCare System Rehabilitation, a facility of CHS Pineville and Levine Children’s Hospital Rehabilitation were awarded Aspire to Excellence CARF accreditation for 11 programs.
• We are a Traumatic Brain Injury Model System follow up site, which helps advance TBI treatment and research.

• We are a designated Agency for Healthcare Research Quality and a Patient Safety Organization (PSO); both help improve the quality and safety of healthcare in America.
• We were the first rehabilitation hospital to operate as a PSO and were among the first PSOs in the nation.

• We participate in independent studies that help measure and improve the performance of rehabilitation facilities.
