Abigail Máiréad Phelps, MD

Dr. Abigail Máiréad Phelps is board certified in internal medicine and hematology. She focuses on hematology and general medical oncology (cancer and blood diseases).

She was recognized as a health professions outstanding trainee by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs during her fellowship training.

Dr. Phelps received her bachelor’s degree at Syracuse University. She completed residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology-medical oncology at Tulane University, where she was chief fellow.

Away from work, she enjoys fostering animals through her local animal shelter, traveling, baking and pottery.
