In-person visits onlyMy reason for doing this job has been shaped by a mix of experiences, but the biggest reason why is because I’m a mom. I’ve been on the other side, asking questions, feeling vulnerable and advocating for my own kids. This perspective keeps me grounded and reminds me of some of the most important reasons why I do my job – to support families, make them feel heard and partner with them to keep their kids happy and healthy. There is so much joy and fulfillment in the field of pediatrics!
I feel there is truly not a more rewarding job than caring for kids. Their energy is contagious, they’re always candidly expressing what’s on their mind and their resilience when facing illness is remarkable. As a pediatrician, I love the collaborative nature of working alongside parents while I have the privilege of caring for their children.
I received my bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina and my degree in osteopathic medicine at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, being outside and spending time with my husband and our two daughters.
