Biography

I love taking care of children, especially those who are so vulnerable and require chronic care. There’s so much more to medicine besides medication management, and I really enjoy getting to know my patients over time.

I am board certified in pediatrics, and I specialize in pediatric nephrology (kidney diseases and disorders).

I was initially drawn to my specialty because the kidneys and their role are so important for the rest of the body. I particularly enjoy caring for patients with kidney transplants and those who require acute renal replacement therapy.

My primary research focus has been kidney transplant recipients and patients with glomerular disease.

I received my bachelor’s degree at Indiana University and my medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. I completed residency in pediatrics at Cohen Children's Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric nephrology at Stanford Children's Hospital.

I enjoy baking pastries and desserts, and I especially love road trips and hiking with the family dog. My husband and I are avid travelers who look forward to exploring the world with our son as he grows up.
