Biography

I’m motivated by the understanding that our cardiothoracic patients are often facing the hardest day of their lives, and it’s a privilege to provide the highest level of care during those moments. I value the personal connections we build before and after surgery, helping patients feel supported, informed and encouraged. My goal is to create lasting positive change for my patients and to contribute to a strong, collaborative surgical team.

As a board-certified physician assistant, I specialize in cardiothoracic surgery (CT) with a focus on the comprehensive management of patients undergoing complex cardiac and thoracic procedures. My clinical interests include coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valvular heart surgeries, aortic disease, lung resections, and mechanical circulatory support.

I was drawn to cardiothoracic surgery through a personal experience, as CT surgeons played a pivotal role in caring for someone very close to me. Witnessing the skill, precision and impact of their work left a lasting impression and inspired me to pursue this field. CT surgery challenges me to practice at the top of my scope while staying grounded in persistence, empathy and service.

I received my bachelor’s degree in organismal biology at Auburn University and my master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Augusta University.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, often going to our favorite coffee shops and restaurants. A few of my favorite hobbies include working out and spending time with my family and friends.
