Biography

Dr. Aleksandr Kalabin is board certified in general surgery and specializes in benign and malignant diseases of the abdomen that affect the liver, pancreas, bile ducts, spleen, stomach and intestines.
He provides medical and surgical care to people with complex diseases. He is passionate about providing state-of-the-art care that uses minimally invasive and robotic technology.
Dr. Kalabin is an assistant professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
He received his medical degree from the Ivanovo State Medical Academy and completed a residency at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed a fellowship in advanced gastrointestinal surgery at the University of Missouri and second fellowship in hepatopancreatobiliary surgery at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. Kalabin is married, has 2 children and a goldendoodle, Bruno.
