Biography
“Education, clear communication, a comprehensive plan and compassion are important when approaching a new cancer diagnosis. I am passionate about bringing these to every patient interaction. It’s a privilege to be with my patients through their entire cancer journey – from diagnosis through surgical treatment, chemotherapy, to cure or end-of-life care.”
Dr. Puechl specializes in gynecologic oncology. She is an assistant professor of gynecologic oncology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute. Her research interest is in endometrial cancers.
She was named one of The Roaring 10 by Clemson University Alumni Association for making an impact in leadership, community, education and philanthropy.
Dr. Puechl received her medical degree at the University of South Carolina. She completed a residency and fellowship at Duke University, where she was named outstanding resident and repeatedly received teaching awards.
She grew up in Raleigh, NC. She loves spending time with her husband and 3 sons, hiking, camping and running. As a family, they are proud Clemson Tiger fans. Dr. Puechl is also an avid reader and enjoys listening to podcasts.
