“I love my profession as a nurse practitioner because I’m passionate about making a meaningful difference in people's lives. In my role, I can combine advanced clinical knowledge with compassionate care, diagnosing, treating and educating patients while also supporting them and their families.”
Amanda Campbell is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP). She focuses on hospital medicine for people in acute rehabilitation settings.
Her background in critical care and cardiology taught her about the crucial transition phase for patients working to regain their independence, rebuild confidence and prepare to return to their lives. Campbell values the opportunities to help bridge the gap between critical illness and recovery.
She received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. They love being outdoors, hiking, camping, boating, biking and swimming. Their 3 cavalier King Charles spaniels often join them on these adventures. Campbell and her daughter have fun working together to train their youngest dog for agility competitions.
