I believe everyone has a right to compassionate care and dignity. Each day I hope to make things at least a little better for as many patients as I can.
I was drawn to oncology because of the great advances, tolerable treatments and increased life expectancy for patients. I have a strong desire to help patients achieve and maintain optimal health, and I'm fascinated with science and the human body.
I’m a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP) and advanced oncology (cancer) certified nurse practitioner (AOCNP). I’m the chief APP (advanced practice provider) for Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute Concord and specialize in hematology and medical oncology with a particular interest in benign and malignant hematology.
I am involved in Levine Cancer Institute’s clinical trials as a sub-investigator.
I received my master’s degree at Duke University and my post-master's certificate in hematology from the Oncology Nursing Society.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as practicing yoga, walking, cooking, gardening and watching TV. I’m married and have an adult daughter.
Thank you for trusting me with your care.
