“I believe that everyone has a right to compassionate care and dignity. Each day I hope to make things at least a little better for as many patients as I can.”
Janes is a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner (AGNP) and advanced oncology (cancer) certified nurse practitioner (AOCNP). She is the chief APP (advanced practice provider) for Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute - Concord and specializes in hematology and medical oncology with a particular interest in benign and malignant hematology.
Janes was drawn to oncology because of the great advances, tolerable treatments and increased life expectancy for patients. She has a strong desire to help patients achieve and maintain optimal health, and she's fascinated with science and the human body.
She is involved in Levine Cancer Institute’s clinical trials as a sub-investigator.
Janes received her master’s degree at Duke University and her post-master's certificate in hematology from the Oncology Nursing Society.
She is married and has an adult daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as practicing yoga, walking, cooking, gardening and watching TV.
