Konopka is a board-certified adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner. She specializes in caring for short-term illnesses and chronic conditions in older adults. She is passionate about helping patients prevent health problems.
Before transitioning to adult-gerontology primary care, Konopka was an oncology (cancer) nurse. Her experience working in the hospital led her to want to focus more on the prevention and early detection of health problems. Working as a gerontology nurse gives her the time she needs to build strong relationships with patients and help them improve their quality of life.
She received her master’s degree in nursing from The George Washington University.
