“I am passionate about working in women's health because it is an underserved segment of the population. My goal is for women of all backgrounds to be seen, heard, supported and well cared for. I believe in and advocate for women’s rights to access and utilize reproductive care.”
Amber Thorsen is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP). She focuses on reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
She previously worked as a fertility nurse and discovered the joy of helping people through their fertility journeys. She wanted to delve deeper into this specialty, which led her to pursue an advanced degree as a women’s health nurse practitioner.
Thorsen received her master’s degree in nursing at Duke University.
She and her husband have 2 wheaten terriers, Josie and Eos, and a West Highland white terrier, Twiggy. Thorsen holds credentials in baking and pastry arts as well as nutrition and dietetics, so she loves experimenting with healthy desserts. She and her husband enjoy traveling and have a goal to visit a new country each year.
