Dr. Amit Aravapalli is board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology. He has clinical interests in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett’s esophagus, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus), chronic constipation and colon cancer screenings. He also has an interest in wellness and longevity.
He has been named a Top Doctor by his peers in Charlotte magazine every year since 2015. His research on reflux was recently published in the prestigious American Journal of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Aravapalli received his medical degree at East Carolina University and completed residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
He enjoys time away from work with his wife and 2 children. He is an avid soccer fan and proposed to his wife at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. He hopes to one day coach his children. Dr. Aravapalli’s recent travels include Iceland, Japan and New Zealand.
