Biography

“I knew hematology-oncology was the right field for me from my first day on the service as an intern. The ever-changing, promising science and inspiring patients drew me to the field. My goal is to provide excellent, compassionate care for my patients.”

Dr. Soni is board certified in internal medicine and hematology-oncology (cancer and blood disorders). She has clinical interests in hematology, lymphoma, anemia, multiple myeloma, myeloproliferative neoplasm, thrombosis and thrombocytopenia.

She is an assistant professor of medicine at Atrium Health’s Levine Cancer Institute and is involved in research studying lymphoma and benign hematology.

Dr. Soni received her bachelor’s degree at Duke University. She completed medical school, residency and a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.

When she’s not working, Dr. Soni loves spending time with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys biking and cooking.
