Dr. DeLemos is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and transplant hepatology. His areas of specialty include treatment of cirrhosis, autoimmune liver disease and fatty liver disease. He particularly enjoys the opportunity to guide patients through the liver transplant process and forms deep bonds with many of his patients.
Dr. DeLemos received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency and a hepatology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
He is a member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) and the American Gastroenterological Association. He has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Charlotte magazine and a preferred provider by the Autoimmune Hepatitis Association.
Dr. DeLemos conducts clinical trials for patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children. Dr. DeLemos plays tennis, cheers European soccer, listens to music with his daughter and watches action movies with his son.
