Biography

I’ve wanted to help people for as long as I can remember, and I was especially inspired by a sports medicine doctor who visited my high school to speak about his work. Once I took time to pray, reflect on my path and consider my options, I felt strongly that being a doctor was what I was meant to do. That decision still guides me today.

My goals are simple. I want to help people reduce their risk of injury and illness, and when injured, restore and maximize their function.

I take time to understand each person’s situation. That means looking beyond a diagnosis to see how it affects daily life. I want to know what matters most to my patients. Then, I focus on education. I explain the condition and the options in clear, simple terms. Together, we make decisions that fit each person’s goals and lifestyle.

When patients see me, they can expect a visit where they feel seen and heard, clear explanations without confusing medical terms and practical next steps they can understand and use.

I specialize in non-operative orthopedic care. I’m board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine.

I have more than 20 years of experience in medicine. That includes working in many different settings, including traveling with international sports teams and caring for patients in geriatric care settings.

I offer a range of services, including:

  • Education about activity modification and exercise guidance
  • Bracing and orthotic recommendations
  • Ultrasound-guided procedures for managing pain
  • Nerve conduction studies and electromyography

I speak conversational Spanish, and I have experience with French and American Sign Language, all of which help me connect with a wider range of patients.

I have presented at national conferences and published work in musculoskeletal and ultrasound medicine. I’ve also received awards for teaching and mentorship. Helping others grow in their careers has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey.

I’m married with a son. Away from work, I enjoy outdoor activities and reading historical fiction. I’m also active in my local church.

I look forward to meeting you and working together on your health goals.
