Biography
“I was drawn to treating neurological disorders because I enjoy forming long-term relationships with my patients and their families. My philosophy is: ‘Do unto others as you would have done to you.’”
Dr. Ardith Courtney is board certified in neurology. She specializes in neurological disorders, including multiple sclerosis (MS).
Her clinical interests include multiple sclerosis (MS); neuromyelitis optica (NM), a rare autoimmune inflammatory process affecting the central nervous system; and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease (MOGAD), an autoimmune disorder with inflammation in the optic nerve, spinal cord or brain.
Dr. Courtney received her medical degree at the University of North Texas and completed residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St Luke’s Medical Center. She completed a fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
She was named a National Multiple Sclerosis Fellow by the Multiple Sclerosis Centers of Excellence. Dr. Courtney has been involved in research focusing on multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica.
Away from work, her hobbies include conservation, travel and art.
