Biography

“I look forward to every personal connection and life-changing moment in this field. I aspire to meet patients with compassion and patience, wherever they are in their journeys. I strive to help every individual continue to reach their personal fertility goals.”

Dr. Arti Taggar is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She specializes in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). Conditions she treats include fertility and infertility for all sexual orientation and gender identities, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), recurrent pregnancy loss and fertility preservation. She is skilled in advanced assisted reproductive techniques, including intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF) protocols, complex reproductive surgical procedures and comprehensive genetic testing and screening, including preimplantation genetic testing.

She believes her specialty allows her to use her skills as an artist, scientist, scholar and humanitarian to diagnose, treat and advocate for patients by using contemporary, evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Taggar is a clinical assistant professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). Her research interests include interventions for endometriosis and infertility care, uterine niche surgical procedures, uterine and cervical stenosis and standard insemination. She received an international prize paper award from the American Society of Reproductive Medicine for her research on trigger protocols for IVF and a Dean’s Award from the University of Connecticut for her work on patient counseling.

For her health care work in Kenya, Dr. Taggar was invited as one of the Women Who Make a Difference to attend the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

Dr. Taggar received her master’s degree in public health and her medical degree at the University of North Carolina. She completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Rochester and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Connecticut, with an additional certificate in clinical and translational research.

Dr. Taggar loves to travel and took time away with her husband for a mini world tour after finishing her medical training. She especially enjoys exploring new cultures, wandering and finding great food!
