Biography

“My patients are my why. Helping individuals and couples build their families and working with them during some of the most challenging and joyous times of their lives is incredibly humbling and the greatest gift I could ever ask for.”

Dr. Eskew is double board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). She specializes in infertility, egg freezing, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and recurrent pregnancy loss.

She is the assistant director of reproductive endocrinology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atrium Health CMC Women’s Institute. She was named a Top Doctor by Charlotte magazine.

Dr. Eskew’s research interests include investigating the impact of lifestyle factors, including diet and physical activity, on fertility and reproductive outcomes. Additionally, she has conducted research evaluating the reproductive tract microbiome in patients with infertility undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). She has been published in top journals in the field, including Obstetrics & Gynecology, Fertility and Sterility and BJOG.

Dr. Eskew has two ongoing research projects entitled “The Impact of Race and Ethnicity on IVF Outcomes: A Retrospective Study” and “Modified Monitoring During COVID and IVF Outcomes: A Retrospective Study.”

Dr. Eskew received her medical degree at the University of Louisville and completed her residency in OB/GYN at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Washington University in St. Louis, where she also obtained her master’s degree in clinical investigation.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and their 2 dogs, hiking, enjoying the outdoors and yoga.
