Biography

I believe every woman brings her own story, experiences and concerns to each visit. My goal is to meet you where you are – both physically and emotionally – and create a space where you feel heard, respected and cared for. I take the time to listen, answer questions and partner with you on decisions about your health. I strive to give every patient the same level of attention and compassion I would want for myself or my family.

I'm board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) and a menopause-certified provider through The Menopause Society. After 25 years practicing general OB-GYN, my clinical focus is now concentrated on care for women over 40, education and evaluation of perimenopause and menopause symptoms, and offering hormonal and non-hormonal treatments for related conditions. I have worked with Atrium Health since 2021 on growing our menopause care services and developing the Virtual Menopause Care Clinic, which launched in November 2025.

My approach centers on supporting women as they navigate the changes and challenges of the late reproductive years and phases of menopause with compassionate, individualized care tailored to your specific needs and goals. Whether you are experiencing symptoms of menopause, seeking guidance on treatment options or looking for preventive strategies to enhance your well-being during these stages of life, you can expect thoughtful support every step of the way.

During your visit, you can expect:

  • A welcoming, judgment-free environment
  • Thorough evaluation of symptoms and medical history
  • Clear explanations about menopause and therapy options in everyday language
  • A shared decision-making approach with care plans designed around your comfort, preferences and health goals

I earned my medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed my OB-GYN residency at Hartford Hospital. Before moving to Charlotte, I was part of the Harvard Women’s Health faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital. I serve on the Medical Advisory Board at Amisa Health, a company developing the use of biometric data in the advancement of menopause care. I also serve on the Atrium/Advocate Menopause Consortium to develop menopause best care practices across the enterprise.

I am a member of HERmedicine and stay actively engaged in menopause care updates and research. I appreciate the recognition of being named a Top Doctor by Charlotte magazine and Castle Connolly multiple times, but nothing beats the gratification I feel when my patients tell me how much better their day-to-day life is with the treatment they chose.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with my husband, staying connected to our six grown children and a weekly game of Mahjong with my girlfriends.
