Bahaar Patel is a board-certified physician assistant who focuses on gastroenterology and hepatology (digestive and liver conditions and diseases). She is an advanced practice provider (APP) who is skilled in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions. Additionally, Patel provides preventive care such as colorectal cancer screening and patient education.
She chose gastroenterology because it combines the aspects of medicine she values most: acute care, procedural skills and long-term patient relationships. Patel enjoys the balance of cognitive problem-solving and hands-on procedures, and she is particularly drawn to the collaborative nature of GI, where care often involves working closely with multiple specialties.
Patel received her Master of Medical Science (MMSc) at North Greenville University and completed an Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowship at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She loves being outdoors, whether hiking, swimming or exploring new places. Traveling is a favorite way to experience different cultures, especially through food, art and local traditions. Patel also likes creative outlets such as art and dance, and she’s always eager to learn new skills.
