Dr. Sobel is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). He specializes in vaginal and minimally invasive surgery, prolapse, vulvar disease, low- and high-risk obstetrics and healthy living options.
Dr. Sobel holds the distinction of being at Atrium Health Union OB/GYN for the past 20 years. He has held nearly every position, from department chairman to recruiting partner to midwife supervisor and has won the Atrium Health Circle of Excellence Award multiple times.
He is currently developing a weight loss/obesity program specifically geared towards postpartum women. As an OB/GYN, he enjoys caring for people through all phases of their adult lives.
Dr. Sobel received his medical degree at Hahnemann University and completed his residency at Carillion New River Valley Medical Center.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 sons, cooking, traveling, hiking, fly fishing and volunteering.
