She became drawn to psychiatry because this specialty empowers her to utilize both objective and subjective diagnostic skills.

Plata received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Duquesne University.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, jogging, traveling and watching soccer.
